Riding school
We have a variety of courses for riders and those who want to be one. There is something for everyone:
Between Christmas and New Year there is the traditional jumping course. This is an intensive course for riders of all standards.
Intensive courses offer a basic programme for beginners or intermediates and preparation for hacks and an improvement programme with an emphasis on dressage or jumping.
The week’s course is the continuation of the intensive courses.
The crowning of our programme of courses is the Maxi Course. This is a two-week improvement course.
A Hacking week is also one of the Sindlingen traditions: Every day two hacks of several hours or whole-day hacks.
Courses for riding clubs or groups can be arranged for a weekend, several days or whole weeks.
For Juniors there are special activities at Schloß Sindlingen such as “Holidays on horseback”. A week’s programme especially for juniors can also be booked.
A riding holiday course for non-residents is, of course, also available.
In the stables around the house there are 80 horses. The core of these is formed by our own school-horses. The horses are at home in the dressage ring just as much as in the jumping arena. All our horses are reliable for hacking, especially the many horses from Ireland which we regularly buy on our visits to the Emerald Isle. Of course, these horses are also available for sale here.
There is a whole range of very good ponies available for the training of children. If you wish to bring your own horse to a course or on holiday, we have extra stabling to accommodate them.
As well as two indoor riding schools, the biggest measuring 27 x 66 metres, there are also four hectares of outdoor training grounds. Apart from the usual show jumping rails, you will also find all the jumps necessary for cross-country training. For instance, several different banks, ditches, hedges, water jumps and a variety of natural jumps. We have an outdoor sand-dressage arena to complete the training area, which augment the cross-country course.
PS: Anyone can start, no matter what age, even if no special riding-kit is available. Shoes should have a small heel – trainers mostly don’t have this - , so that you and above all your children do not slip through the stirrup. But you should wear a riding hat.
